− | In the second test, he measured their ability to recognise Pokémon by putting siloettes or parts of Pokémon on a screen. He first put on the siloette of a round Pokémon, which Ash believed to be [[Voltorb]], James thought was a [[Poké Ball]] and Jessie thought was an [[Electrode]]. However, it was truly a [[Jigglypuff]] as seen from uptop. He then showed a pattern that Ash had never seen. James thought it was an [[Omanyte]] shell, Jessie thought it was an [[Arbok]] all coiled up and Ash thought it was a [[Poliwhirl]], but it was truly a [[Poliwag]], testing the fact that when Poliwag evolves into Poliwhirl, the pattern on its stomach changes direction. The fifteenth question was asking which Pokémon possessed the flaming tail which Ash thought was [[Charmander]]. It was truly [[Ponyta]] and Jessie got angry. She then quit the exam. |
