Phillip is a water/ground-type Pokémon owned by Wallace.
Biography
Wallace participated in the Fallarbor Town's Contest with his Whiscash, Philip.[1] Ruby noted how the Whiscash actually displayed some beautiful moves, despite its odd appearance, just like Ruby wanted to do with his Feebas.[2] Philip was also used in the Slateport City's Contest.[3][4]
Wallace sent Philip to battle against Tabitha. Whiscash tickled his Torkoal.[5] It was also sent to battle Maxie's Houndoom and Archie's Tentacruel. However, Wallace had to surrender, for Archie and Maxie held Winona hostage. Thus, Wallace called his Pokémon back and let Houndoom and Tentacruel hit his Poké Balls, so he couldn't call out his Pokémon anymore.[6]
