Biography

When the Ursaring was chasing out Ash and his friends out of a forest, Paul used his Chimchar to defeat and capture it. Pleased with Ursaring's strength, he decided to keep it and later used it to rescue Chimchar from Team Rocket. Ursaring was also used to attack Chimchar in the hopes of forcing it to unleash its full power.
In Chim-Charred, Ursaring battles Chimchar and deflects Flamethrower, Flame Wheel, and Stratch. When Ursaring used Hammer Arm on Chimchar, Chimchar activated Blaze. When Ursaring used Focus Blast, Ash's Chimchar wins over Focus Blast with Flame Wheel and finishes Ursaring with a single hit.
Ursaring was used to battle Pyramid King Brandon, where it battled his Regice and was defeated by Regirock. During Ash and Paul's first six on six battle, Ursaring defeated Staraptor, Buizel and Pikachu before finally being defeated by Chimchar without doing one bit of damage on Chimchar.
Ursaring was also used during Paul's battle against Barry, where it defeated his Hitmonlee despite type disadvantage. Ursaring was reseen at the end of Ash and Paul's battle with Torterra, Weavile, Honchkrow, Reggie's Staraptor, and Reggie's Swalot.
Ursaring is known for its ability Guts, Focus Blast, and Hammer Arm after knocking out Ash's Pikachu, Ash's Staraptor, and Barry's Hitmonlee with Hammer Arm.
