Appearance
Pansear is a mainly red in coloration Pokemon. It has what looks like some fire on top of it's head. In it's ears are little marks of yellow and it's lower face, hands and upper torso are a tan color. It has red feet and a red pointy tail, and it's lower body and feet are red. Pansear's shiny stage makes the red parts an orangey colour, like a mandarin. Pansear can be found in Pinwheel Forest. Try to look in the moving grass.

Trivia
- Pansear was revealed on a leaked image along with Pansage and Panpour on September 4, 2010. It officially revealed on the October issue of Coro Coro on September 11, 2010.
- Pansear, with the other elemental monkeys, seems to be based after the Three Wise Monkeys, with Pansear representing "hear no evil", by holding it's ear.
- If the player chooses Oshawott as his/her starter, the player will receive a Pansear from an NPC early in the game. If the player chooses Tepig as his/her starter, the male rival, Cheren, will use a Pansear as part of his team. If the player chooses Snivy as his/her starter, the player will face Chili, who uses a Pansear as part of his team, in the first gym battle and the female rival, Bianca, will also use a Pansear as part of her team.
- Its name may be a mash up of the words Pan (the genus of Chimpanzees) and Sear (a way to cook meat). This is supported by the names of its two companions.
- Pansear's evolution is the second monkey evolution that is a Fire type. The first being the Chimchar's evolution.
