Pallet Town is where Ash Ketchum from the anime was born and his rival in the games. It is his hometown throughout his adventures and his mom stays in it all throughout. This Town's pokémon lab is also where Professor Oak lives and studies pokémon. Pallet Town appears in Pokemon Red/Blue and Pokémon Yellow with 2 house's one Ash's and one The Rivals and the Laboratory. The Japanese motto is: Masara is the colour of pure white beginnings.

Many famous people come from Pallet town, such as Ash Ketchum, Gary Oak and Professor Oak. All of them love Pallet town as it is a nice quiet secluded spot right nearby the sea. There are only two routes linking Pallet town to other places, which means that it doesn't have much commerce. One of the routes (Route 21 south) is a water route so they get almost nothing coming in from there and the other is the only place where they actually travel on, Route 1 (North). The main trading city is Viridian City, where they get their supplies as there is no Pokémart or Pokemon Center in the town (though in the game, your mom heals you). This is where all Pokémon trainers start out, as it is where professor Oak gives out the Starter Pokémon.

[edit] Your house/Ash's house

This house is where you begin your journey, it is very nice and decorative with 2 floors. In the game there is a PC in your room and when you boot it up, there is a Poké ball inside the storage system. Later on in the game, whenever you come back, your mom will heal your Pokémon with her loving care and good food. Your mom also gives you running shoes for your journey in this house.

This is your rivals house, it looks almost exactly like your house except that instead of your mom healing your pokémon, the rival's sister (Daisy Oak) will comb them, increasing their love for you. After you give Prof. Oak his parcel, she will give you the town map to help you on your journey.

[edit] Professor Oak's Lab

Professor Oak's lab is the place where Professor Oak lives and studies pokémon. The lab is equipped with all kinds of high tech stuff, including, the one and only... Pokédex! Oak gives out the Pokédex and 5 Poké balls to each trainer that comes and takes either a: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle or Pikachu(In yellow) from him.
