VS Kangaskhan is the third chapter of Pokémon Adventures: Volume 1.

Red has set off from Pallet Town and reached Viridian City, where he found that the Gym was closed. Unhappily, he continued off to Viridian Forest where he saw Blue (Green in Japanese) attacking a Kangaskhan whose baby was injured. Red treated it and soon after, Red and Blue became rivals.
