After a search, he, Ash, Brock and Misty discovered that a group of Clefairy were taking the stuff to power their spaceship. Attempting to control the ship, he and the others fell asleep when Jigglypuff sang the song. Though he stayed on the ship, he got out when the Clefairy needed more stuff for the space ship.
