The Opelucid City Gym is the final Gym to be challenged in the Unova region. Unlike most games, this Gym has two different Gym Leaders, but it is dependant on which version you, the player, have. In Pokémon Black version, the Trainer has to battle Drayden, the Mayor of Opelucid City. On the other hand, in Pokémon White Version, the Trainer alternatively has to battle Iris. Both speialize in Dragon-type Pokémon, and so do their Gym Trainers.

• In the anime, Ash does not go to this Gym for his final badge.
• In Pokemon Black and White version 2, the gym's BGM is an orchestra version of the original BGM.
• In the original Black and White, who the Gym leader is based on the Ying/Yang Symbol; a light-skinned Gym Leader in Black and a dark-skinned Gym Leader in White.
