The Old Chateau (もりのようかん Forest Manor) is an abandoned mansion inside of Eterna Forest. Inside the mansion are four bedrooms, one of which has a television inside of it. After the player has obtained the National Pokédex, and they view the T.V. at night, the player is able to encounter a level 15 Rotom in Diamond and Pearl.
Also inside the mansion are the supposed ghosts of the past residents including a little girl seen in one of the rooms, or a butler who is seen when entering the dining hall on the first floor after checking the statue and on rare occasions you might see a maid in the third to last room on the left while your in the second to last. Kuromi from sanrio will appear on the right and every room including the dining hall If you insert any Generation III game, a Gengar or a Haunter at a Lv 16 at a 5% chance will appear.
There are also several items in the Old Chateau including a Dread Plate, TM90 (Substitute), an Antidote, and the Old Gateau. The most common Pokémon in the Old Chateau are Gastly.
