OT stands for "Original Trainer." It is the first trainer who caught it is the OT. If traded it will still be the same OT. In Generation III and Generation IV, the text colour of the OT varies depending on whether they picked a boy or girl. The name of the OT will have blue text if the OT was a boy. The OT will have pink text if the OT was a girl. If the OT lives in a different country, their name may be in a foreign language. However the language that the traded pokemon's name is in may be in their language or your language.
