If there is a loop in the map (Solaceon through Veilstone all the way to route 214 or from Hearthome through Solaceon to Celestic) then one can use the Mystery Zone as a shortcut and travel from one side of the loop directly through the centre of the map to the other side of the loop. One can also access Newmoon Island from Fullmoon island and Flower Paradise from the Pokemon League building in this way. However, If one goes straight through the Mystery Zone to a town or city, then the graphics will be glitched. If one tries to use a glitched object in that place, the game may freeze but again no data will be lost. It is said that you can see Missingno. in its ghost form. If you walk from Canalave City to Lake verity (or from any other city or town with a lake near it) the lake will appear as a puddle just as it is on fullmoon and new moon island.
