Mt. Mortar is a large cave north of Route 42. This cave has three entrances in here and this place is optional to enter in order to complete the Johto Pokédex and encounter the Pokémon League. This place though has many trainers to help the player get his/her Pokémon more strong and has many valuable items to collect. This place is known to be the training place of Kiyo, the Karate King of Saffron City. When he is defeated, he will reward the player with a level 10 Tyrogue.
