For the variant appearing in the games, see Mira.

Mira is a character appearing in Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl.

Appearance[]

Mira is a short little girl with fair skin, pale orange eyes, and long burgundy hair that's held up in a side ponytail on the left and a loop on the right with golden bell-shaped hair clips. She wears a white shirt with poofy sleeves, a burgundy collar-like tie and matching shorts, white tights, and burgundy shoes with poofy cuffs.

Personality[]

Mira, while lacking in strength, is a determined Trainer to rescue her Sandshrew. She values her friendship with that Pokémon, and shares it with her friends.

Biography[]

Mira met her friends with a Sandshrew at school. However, a dam was built and everyone left the place, though Mira and her friends forgot to pick Sandshrew up from her locker. Thus, she was looking for ways to rescue Sandshrew's Poké Ball from the lake. She attempted to retrieve it, but a wild Gyarados attacked her.[1]

Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl[]

Finding the heroes on the road to Hearthome City, Mira spied on them at first. She later approached them, introducing herself as Mira, knowing of a shortcut to their destination. The heroes took the girl's hand, whose Abra warped them away to a dam. Mira apologized for the trouble, for she wanted their help first in recovering her grandma's pendant, located underneath the water. Since Abra could not teleport them underwater, she wanted their help so she could really teleport them to Hearthome City. With the help of Dawn's Buizel and Piplup, the heroes attempted to go underwater, but were ambushed by a Gyarados. Realizing Mira knew of this Gyarados, the latter explained that she was looking for Sandshrew, who was left in a locker at her school, with the wild Gyarados guarding it.

The heroes decided to help Mira anyway. In order to stop Gyarados, Brock constructed a plan: Piplup and Buizel distracted Gyarados enough to force it to emerge from the water, so Pikachu's Thunderbolt defeated it. However, Team Rocket came to snatch Abra, to which Mira fooled them enough to have Abra teleport them away. The heroes continued their search, and Mira managed to find Sandshrew's Poké Ball, and returnign to the shore, she sent Sandshrew out, glad to be reunited with it. Team Rocket attempted to snatch Abra again, but Ash's Turtwig slashed the net to rescue Abra, while Sandshrew and Pikachu blasted Team Rocket away. Mira was grateful for the heroes' assistance, as Abra teleported them to Hearthome City. She wished them luck in their Gym Battles and Contests before parting ways.[1]
