Michael is the main character of Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. Michael's partner Pokémon is Eevee, who can evolve into one of the five evolutions available during XD, Jolteon with the Thunderstone, Vaporeon with the Waterstone, Flareon with the Firestone, Espeon with the Sun Shard, and Umbreon with the Moon Shard. He has a younger sister named Jovi.

Professor Krane later entrusts him with the Snag Machine, a machine capable of capturing, or snagging, Shadow Pokémon from their owners and purify them by opening their hearts. Aidan gives Michael five Poké Balls to start snagging Pokémon. After that, a crime syndicate called Cipherkidnap Professor Krane, leading Michael to follow them to save the professor.

AppearanceEdit

Michael is a boy with spiky red hair, green eyes and pale skin. He wears a yellow zipped up vest worn over a black long sleeved t-shirt with oranges stripes down the slevees, jeans which too have orange stripes down them and big brown boots. He also wears a small black bag around his waist which carries his items and most likely his Pokémon too, and a pair of googles around his neck. He wears his Snag Machine on his left arm and the Aura Reader on his headband. On his bag strap around his waist he keeps his P*DA.

• Michael appears to be ambidextous due to the fact that he throws a Snag Ball with his left hand, but when throwring a regular Poké Ball (when catching wild Pokémon or sending out his own) he throws with his right.
