Trivia[]

  • In music, a Metronome is a device that is used to help musicians keep at a steady pace. The instrument has an "arm" that moves in a back and forth motion which was the inspiration for how the Pokémon move requires it to move its fingers in the said motion.
  • Starting in Generation V, moves that come from Mystery Gift events are generally unselectable through Metronome. Their exclusion is likely intended as an added preventive measure to keep Mythical Pokémon and event-exclusive moves secret until their official announcement.
  • In Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, if Fairy Lock is selected by Metronome, the game can crash.
