Mean Look is an attack where a Pokémon gives the opponent the evil eye and keeps them from escaping the battle. Mean Look is a move learned by Pokémon such as Zubat, Golbat, Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Duskull, or Dusclops. Its effect is identical to the move Block, which is to prevent the opposing Pokémon from escaping. It is a Normal- type move. Mean Look has proved most useful to players striving to catch Pokémon that run away immediately upon discovery such as Cresselia, Mesprit, and Abra.
