This Meditite is a fighting/psychic-type Pokémon owned by Maylene.

Biography

Meditite first appeared in a flashback where it battled Paul's Honchkrow. Meditite was no match for Honchkrow and was quickly defeated by Sky Attack.[1]

Whilst battling Dawn, Maylene sent Meditite to fight Dawn's Buneary. Buneary used Bounce, which Meditite evaded with Detect. It then used Drain Punch to severely hit Buneary. The latter froze Meditite with Ice Beam, though Meditite's Confusion shattered the ice and reflected it back to Buenary. As Buneary was dropped by Confusion attack, it used Bounce to attack Meditite, who quickly used Drain Punch to defeat it. Dawn's Ambipom was sent out, and it surrounded Meditite with stars from Swift attack. Meditite retaliated with Drain Punch, but Ambipom blocked that attack and defeated Meditite with Double Hit.[2]

While battling Ash, Meditite battled Ash's Staravia. Staravia used Quick Attack, which Meditite negated with Detect. It then used Meditate before using another Detect to counter Aerial Ace. Meditite got hurt by Gust, so it retaliated with Drain Punch. Staravia went to use another Aerial Ace, but got hit by Confusion attack, forcing Ash to swap it with his Chimchar. Chimchar used Scratch on Meditite, hitting it, but suffered its Drain Punch attack. Chimchar repeated its attack, which Meditite attempted to avoid with Detect. However, it failed and got hit by Scratch and Flamethrower attacks. Just as Chimchar went to use Flame Wheel, Meditite managed to confuse Chimchar with Confusion attack, which forced Ash to recall it. Meditite faced Staravia, whose Drain Punch was negated by Gust. Medidite went to use another Cunfusion, but was defeated by Staravia's newly learned Brave Bird.[3]
