Trivia

  • As opposed to Braviary's influence being on the modern nation of America, with some influences from pre-historic America, Mandibuzz seems to be based off barbarians or a "cavewoman".
  • The "Buzz" part in the name stands for "Buzzard", and "Mandi" from "Mandible", the name of the (human) lower jawbone, which it appears to be wearing.
  • No trainer in the Generation V games uses a Mandibuzz, as a result, you must evolve Vullaby yourself or get a Mandibuzz in a trade if you want to get Mandibuzz for your Pokédex.
  • In the anime, a girl name Katharine owns a Mandibuzz in Scraggy and the Demanding Gothita.
  • It is impossible to get a seen Pokédex entry for Vullaby or Mandibuzz in Pokémon White without trading with another player.
  • Mandibuzz appears in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, where you have to give her 30 Everflames to access Thundurus' shrine.
