This Manaphy is a water-type Mythical Pokémon in Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea.
Biography
When Manaphy first hatched from its egg, May was the first thing it saw, so it assumed that May was its mother. Manaphy was very loving and affectionate towards May, and the two soon developed a very close bond, to the point of where May treated Manaphy as if it was her own child. Manaphy began learning words and phrases like "love you," "happy", "May," and "mama." However, their bond was affecting Manaphy's goal to find Samiya, so May tried to stay away from Manaphy but they eventually came back to one another and shared a tearful hug. Manaphy's final words were "Love you, Mama. Love you, May." Manaphy also started to like Ash, who saved Manaphy from Phantom.
