Games
Maisy is Kurt's granddaughter, who takes care of his Slowpoke.
Anime
After the heroes gave Kurt the GS Ball, Maisy gave them a tour of the Apricorn Trees and the heroes plucked some of them and gave them to Kurt. A day later, Kurt made the Balls and Maisy transported them to Ash, Misty and Brock, who forgot they left Kurt to make those balls.
