It is Whimsicott's counterpart.

  +
It has a Grass/Fighting Hisuian form introduced in Generation VIII.
Appearance
Lilligant has a feminine appearance, with a plant bulb like skirt. It has a red flower on the top of its head with a crown atop of the blossom. It has a yellow collar and leaves for arms. It has one long large leaf on the back of its head supposedly to resemble a single strand of hair. And in this fact it will always be female in Pokémon White along with its pre-evolution, Petilil.

  +
Biology
  +
Physiology
  +
Unovan
  +
Lilligant is a large plant-like Pokémon that has a slightly humanoid feminine appearance. Its "skirt" resembles a plant bulb. Its face and torso are white, while the rest of its body is mainly green and leafy. It appears to be wearing a cloak of dark green leaves. It has a bright orange lily-like flower on the top of its head with a crown atop of the blossom. It has a leafy yellow collar, and rounded light green leaves for arms. It has one long, large leaf on the back of its head that resembles flowing hair and it has orange eyes. Below its bulb-like mid-section, it has a cluster of four curled yellow foot-like limbs that allow it to stand upright.
  +
  +
Hisuian
  +
Hisuian Lilligant has a more slender build, and slimmer legs that have purple tips and yellow "shoes" on them, as well as lacking a "skirt". Its flower is purplish pink, and its "hair" is notably shorter. Its eyes are purple instead of orange. Their legs are believed to be a result of living in mountains that are covered in snow.
  +
  +
Behavior
  +
Unovan
  +
Lilligant are popular among celebrities. Nonetheless, it's hard to let the flowers on their heads bloom, because if they get a lack of attention or care, the flower will wither. This shows that Lilligant are extremely delicate Pokémon that require lots of pampering.
  +
  +
However, sometimes even after their trainers have paid all their effort, when a Lilligant finds a beloved mate, the flower withers.
  +
  +
Lilligant mainly live in forests (such as Pinwheel Forest) of Unova and meadows of Alola. Some dwell in the Isle of Armor.
  +
  +
Hisuian
  +
Hisuian Lilligant are elegant fighters that use their well-developed legs to attack their enemies while also retaining their grace and poise. Unlike their modern counterparts, they live their lives in snow-covered mountains and terrains.
  +
  +
Natural Abilities
  +
Lilligant has a crown-like flower on her head which emits a sweet aroma. This fragrance is considered to be as long as you can get a relaxing effect. Although such aromatic scent can be extracted into sublime essential oils, its price can be staggeringly expensive on account of its rarity.
  +
  +
Hisuian Lilligant not only have their flowers' aroma that can exude a scent to hearten those in proximity, but also use their legs to kick their foes brutally.

Evolution
Evolution
Lilligant is the evolved form of Petilil via a Sun Stone.
+
Lilligant is the evolved form of Petilil and she evolves when exposed to a Sun Stone.

Origin
  +
With its leafy 'dress' and elegance combined with its tendency to dance, Lilligant is likely based off a Southern belle. A Southern belle is a term that refers to an upper-class woman in the Southern United States before the American Civil War. They were often characterized by large skirts and hats, which the flower and lower portion of Lilligant's body visually resemble. This is strengthened by how the species can only be female. Unova, the region Lilligant first appeared in, is also based off the US state of New York, although the state itself isn't considered part of the South.

Hisuian Lilligant appears to have incorporated elements of professional ballerinas and gymnasts, referencing its Fighting type. Originating from Hisui and its lithe slender anatomy allowing it to survive alpine and cold conditions appears to draw upon the flower species Dianthus superbus, or the fringed pink, a variety of mountain wildflower, and its feminine graceful martial artist depiction further draws upon Japan's use of the flower in its cultural ideal of yamato nadeshiko. With Hisui being the ancient era of Sinnoh, this corresponds how in real life during the samurai era, samurai women were found greater in the northern most regions of Japan, with their martial arts ranging from traditions like koryu and aikijutsu, and were considered to have truly embodied being yamato nadeshiko.

Lilligant (Japanese: ドレディア, HepburnDoredia) (LIL-lih-gunt[1]) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It is Whimsicott's counterpart.

It has a Grass/Fighting Hisuian form introduced in Generation VIII.

Biology

Physiology

Unovan

Hisuian

Hisuian Lilligant has a more slender build, and slimmer legs that have purple tips and yellow "shoes" on them, as well as lacking a "skirt". Its flower is purplish pink, and its "hair" is notably shorter. Its eyes are purple instead of orange. Their legs are believed to be a result of living in mountains that are covered in snow.

Behavior

Unovan

Lilligant are popular among celebrities. Nonetheless, it's hard to let the flowers on their heads bloom, because if they get a lack of attention or care, the flower will wither. This shows that Lilligant are extremely delicate Pokémon that require lots of pampering.

However, sometimes even after their trainers have paid all their effort, when a Lilligant finds a beloved mate, the flower withers.

Lilligant mainly live in forests (such as Pinwheel Forest) of Unova and meadows of Alola. Some dwell in the Isle of Armor.

Hisuian

Hisuian Lilligant are elegant fighters that use their well-developed legs to attack their enemies while also retaining their grace and poise. Unlike their modern counterparts, they live their lives in snow-covered mountains and terrains.

Natural Abilities

Lilligant has a crown-like flower on her head which emits a sweet aroma. This fragrance is considered to be as long as you can get a relaxing effect. Although such aromatic scent can be extracted into sublime essential oils, its price can be staggeringly expensive on account of its rarity.

Hisuian Lilligant not only have their flowers' aroma that can exude a scent to hearten those in proximity, but also use their legs to kick their foes brutally.

Evolution

Lilligant is the evolved form of Petilil and she evolves when exposed to a Sun Stone.

Etymology

Lilligant comes from lily and elegant.

Its Japanese name, Dredear, seems to be a combination of dress, dear, and Dianthus, a species of plants that produce carnation flowers.
