Kiyo is a character who appeared in the games and anime. He was also Character of the Day in JE117. He specializes in Fighting-types, with him being the former Gym Leader of Saffron City - operating out of the former Saffron City Gym, currently referred to as the Fighting Dojo. He is named Koichi in Generation III.

Games

He is the top trainer of the Fighting Dojo in Saffron City - which was a former Gym, with him as the Gym Leader. If you beat him, he gives you a Fighting-type Pokémon: Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan, but the player can only choose one of the two.

Anime
