As a friend, Typhlosion likes to battle for fun, and is aware of Jimmy's feelings for Marina. Nevertheless, it is extremely loyal to Jimmy, to the point of confronting the power of a legendary Pokémon even though seriously wounded after a battle. |

This Typhlosion is a Fire-type Pokémon owned by Jimmy, that was his First partner Pokémon.
Biography
As Cyndaquil
Jimmy obtained his Cyndaquil from Professor Elm.[1]
As Quilava
Jimmy's Quilava, as well as Cyndaquil and Typhlosion, was seen during the opening scene of "The Legend of Thunder" series.
As Typhlosion
Jimmy used Typhlosion to battle Shinji and his Hitmonlee. Hitmonlee used Jump Kick and Rolling Kick, which Typlosion endured. As Hitmonlee went to use a Mega Kick, it was defeated by Typhlosion's Flamethrower. Later, Typhlosion was used in the battle of Jimmy against Marina. Jimmy chose him to battle against Marina's Croconaw where he shrugged off a Water Gun despite the type disadvantage. As Typhlosion went to retalaite with Quick Attack, a lighting stroke. Looking at the clouds, Jimmy and Marina noted that was no ordinary storm, and called their Pokémon back to postpone the battle. Later, when Jimmy and Marina faced Team Rocket's Hun and Attila, he sent Typhlosion to defeat them.
Typhlosion used Flamethrower, but was negated by Team Rocket's Steelix's Sandstorm. Typhlosion attempted to approach Steelix, but was hurt by Team Rocket's Skarmory, who used Steel Wing. Later, when Jimmy wanted to save Raikou, the latter started attacking, not recognizing Jimmy as an ally; Typhlosion protected Jimmy, and nearly went to attack Raikou. As Team Rocket used a crystal to absorb Raikou's energy, Typhlosion attempted to destroy the crystal with Flamethrower.[1]
Pokémon Journeys: The Series
Typhlosion, along with it's Trainer, Marina and her Little Miss, and Vincent and his Meganium, watch Lance's match against Diantha in the Masters Eight Tournament.[2]
