Phillip Bartlett was born in Findlay, Ohio, USA, June 22nd, 1959 and was the voice of Mewtwo in Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back. He died in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, August 9th, 2001 whilst surgeons were fixing an aorta. After this, his part was replaced by Dan Green when the character of Mewto returned in Mewtwo Returns.
