James' Amoonguss is the second Pokemon that James obtained in the Unova Region. James' Amoonguss first appeared in "BW111", debuting along with Jessie's Frillish when Team Rocket attacked Ash and his friends for the first time since "Operation Tempest" and the temporary retreat back to Kanto. It was used to capture Ash's Pikachu and Nonomi's Tepig, but was defeated by Ash's Unfezant.
