James' Amoonguss is the second Pokémon that James obtained in the Unova region.

Biography

James' Amoonguss first appeared along with Jessie's Frillish when Team Rocket attacked Ash and his friends for the first time since "Operation Tempest" and the temporary retreat back to Kanto. It was used to capture Ash's Pikachu and Nanette's Tepig, but was defeated by Ash's Unfezant. James's Amoonguss is often used alongside Jessie's Woobat in a couple of episodes. In the series finale of "Pokémon: Best Wishes!", Amoonguss was given away to Giovanni at Team Rocket's Headquarters.

Trivia

• Excluding his temporary Pokémon, Amoonguss is James' fourth Grass type. Amoonguss is also his third Poison type.
• Unlike James' past Grass type Pokémon, Amoonguss does not show any special kind of affection when it is sent out.
