While en route to Olivine City, Ash and co. take a trip to Remoraid Mountain to investigate strange lights appearing there. There they also meet an artist named Mr. Gan Gogh who wishes to see a sight he saw when he was younger: the Remoraid Lights. He was well prepared to draw all the colors, maybe a bit too well prepared. Will he be able to complete his life's work?
Mr. Gan Gogh was named after Vincent Van Gogh, a famous artist.
This is Team Rocket's fastest reappearence after blasting off: With the time between them blasting off due to Venasaur's Solar beam to the time the attempted to steal the remoraid coming in at a whopping 119 seconds (Just under 2 minutes).
