Hitmontop (カポエラー Kapoerā) is a Fighting-type Pokémon and one of the evolved forms of Tyrogue. Tyrogue evolves into Hitmontop starting at level 20 when its Attack stat and Defense stat are the same.
Appearance
Hitmontop is brown in color with a light blue lower body including its feet and tail.
Special Abilities
Hitmontop can have one of two abilities, Intimidate or Technician. Intimidate will lower the attack of the opposing Pokémon while Technician will slightly increase the power of moves with an attack power below 60.
Hitmontop is the only Pokémon that can learn the move Triple Kick.
In Game
It evolves from Tyrogue at level 20 only if its Attack stat is equal to its Defense stat. The easiest way for a trainer to obtain a Hitmontop is to use vitamins, specifically Protein and Iron, to raise either the Attack or Defense stat until they are equal to one another. Hitmontop was first introduced in the Pokémon Gold and Silver versions and is a Fighting-type Pokémon.
Hitmontop is Pokémon number 237 in the National-Dex in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum. In Pokemon Colosseum there is a Shadow Hitmontop that you can snag atRelic Forest.
