Hidden Land is a dungeon in Explorers of Time and Darkness and Explorers of Sky. It is hidden by Dialga inside a gap in time. The Temporal Tower is located here, and can be accessed via the Rainbow Stoneship.

The weather may turn to Hail if an Abomasnow is on the floor due to its Snow Warning Ability.

The Hidden Land is located on a floating island to the far west on the Wonder Map.

Plot[]

During the first visit, the player is accompanied by Grovyle. At the end of the dungeon is the Old Ruins (Japanese: こだいのいせき, HepburnAncient Ruins), where the Rainbow Stoneship is. When the player character's trio reach here, they are ambushed by Dusknoir and his six Sableye. After the battle, Dusknoir appears to have fainted, but refuses to lose, so he pushes the player, partner, and Grovyle, down, but they quickly get up. Dusknoir taunts them for their "puny power" and that they had "no chance of winning from the start." Dusknoir soon releases a final attack, but Grovyle shields the attack from the player character, knocking out Dusknoir. Grovyle then sacrifices himself by pushing Dusknoir back to the Dimensional Hole along with himself. Dusknoir reveals that all Pokémon from the future, including the player character, would disappear if time is altered, since they come from the future. After this, the player and their partner take the Rainbow Stoneship to Temporal Tower. After time has restored, Hidden Land, along with Temporal Tower, is shown heavily ravaged.

After the credits, the Hidden Land can be visited by talking to Lapras on Treasure Town beach. Only the player and their partner are permitted to enter the Hidden Land, even on revisits. After completing the dungeon, the player can choose to continue their journey in Temporal Tower.

Trivia[]

  • The music in Hidden Highland (the second part of this dungeon) also plays during the cutscene in Chapter 15 that Dusknoir and his Sableye army try to stop you, your partner, and Grovyle from stepping into the passage of time to return to the present.
  • The Hidden Land's island returns in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, though being a part of Sea of Wonders instead of the Grass Continent.
  • While many storyline dungeons, on the player's first visit, allow only the player's team and/or company storyline members, Hidden Land and Temporal Tower are the only two storyline dungeons that always have this restriction.
