Helioptile is an Electric/Normal-type Pokémon in Generation VI.
Etymology
Helioptile is a play on words Heliophile (Something attracted to the sun or light) and Reptile.
Origin
Helioptile, as its Japanese name implies, is based of a frilled neck lizard. This can also be seen when it's attacking, it opens the "ear-like" structures on its head.
Trivia
- Helioptile's body colors resemble Mawile's.
- Helioptile is the only non-glitch Pokémon to have Normal as a secondary type.
- Heloptile will know a new move, Parabola Charge.
