The Heavy Ball (Japanese: ヘビーボール, Hepburn: Heavy Ball) is one of the many Poké Balls featured in the Gold and Silver games. It can catch large and heavy Pokémon such as Snorlax better than a standard Poké Ball.
Appearance[]
It has a dark blue top with lighter blue circles on either side at an angle from the central button, the top most of which is the largest and the lower-most of which are tiny and almost the same shade of blue as the majority of the top.

Generation II[]
- Gold, Silver & Crystal: the Heavy Ball can be crafted by Kurt in Azalea Town.

In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Heavy Ball can be purchased via the Galaxy Member in certain camps depending on the player's Star rating, can be given by NPCs as rewards for completing certain Requests, or crafted via collecting Materials available in regions with Wild Pokemon. In comparison to the Poké Ball, the Heavy Ball has a shorter throwing distance but has a slightly increased catch-rate when used outside battle depending on the Wild Pokémon's activity.
