In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, sometimes when you throw a Poké Ball, a Manaphy will come out and use Heart Swap. In this case, your control over your selected character is switched with another character for a certain amount of time. For example, if you are playing as Link and another player is playing as Bowser, the person who was playing as Link will gain control of Bowser, and the person playing as Bowser will gain control of Link, effectively swapping characters.
