Trivia

  • It shares similarities with Machoke since it has a 3 stage evolution line and a gender ratio of 3 males to 1 female. Like Machoke, as mentioned above, Gurdurr evolves when traded and both pokemon are fighting types.
  • Its name is clearly based on the word girder, a type of support beam which Gurdurr appears to carry on its back.
