Tyrunt is Grant's second Pokémon he uses in his Gym battle. Froakie starts off with Double Team to confuse Tyrunt, but Tyrunt uses Rock Tomb in an attempt to destroy the clones. Nonetheless, the Froakies leap on the Rocks, and use a Bubble barrage on Tyrunt. But Tyrunt leaps out and unleashes Draco Meteor, which defeats all of the Froakies, including the real one. Next up is [[Ash's Fletchinder|Fletchling]], who uses Razor Wind to no avail, and tries confusing him with Double Team. But unlike Froakie, Tyrunt makes quick work of the clones with Dragon Tail, and takes a Steel Wing from the real one before regaining his composure instantly and using Dragon Tail on the real one, knocking it out instantly.

[[Ash's Pikachu|Pikachu]] closes the battle, as it becomes a one on one. Pikachu uses Quick Attack, but Tyrunt prepares to counter with Crunch. As the two are about to collide attacks, Pikachu jumps high into the air. Tyrunt uses Draco Meteor, but Pikachu hits it with Iron Tail, and knocks the meteors away with the same move. Tyrunt counters with Dragon Tail and the moves collide, the two Pokemon have a staredown. Realizing that neither would faint, Tyrunt uses Rock Tomb on Pikachu, but he knocks them away with Iron Tail. However, as Tyrunt roars angrily, this is his demise, as a rock is hit in his mouth, blocking off Crunch and Draco Meteor. Pikachu uses Quick Attack to move along the rocks, and uses a Thunderbolt. In addition to doing massive damage, it slams Tyrunt back into a wall, doing massive damage and finishing it off.

Grant's Tyrunt is a rock/dragon-type Pokémon owned by Grant it is his final and strongest Pokemon in the anime and games.

Biography
