Changes: Good Rod

The Good Rod (Japanese: いいつりざお Good Fishing Rod) is a recurring key item. It is better than its weaker counterpart, the Old Rod, as it can catch more varieties of Pokémon. In Generation V, the item is not obtainable.

How to Obtain

Generation I: Talk to the Good Rod Guru in Fuchsia City
Generation II: Talk to a man in Olivine City
Generation III:
- Hoenn: Talk to a fisherman on Route 118
- Kanto: Talk to the Good Rod Guru in Fuchsia City
Generation IV:
- Sinnoh: Talk to a fisherman on the front bridge in Route 209
- Johto: Talk to a man in Olivine City
