I'm the top student in the beginning class of the most exclusive club in the world, Pokémon Tech. It's sad that others aren't blessed with my beauty, my talent, my humble attitude. People call me a star, but I'm just Giselle.

Giselle (Japanese: 優藤聖代 Seiyo Yūtō) is a character appearing in Pokémon: Indigo League.

Giselle appeared as a Jr. Trainer♀ between Cerulean and Vermilion City on Route 6, talking with a Jr. Trainer♂ with a Weepinbell.

Giselle appeared before Ash, Brock and Misty, making Brock and Ash blush at her appearance. Misty challenged her to a battle, as Giselle was arrogant and picked on Joe, her classmate. Though Misty lost, Ash challenged Giselle, using his Pikachu against her Cubone and won, using an unusual strategy. Though Team Rocket attempted to steal the Pokémon, Giselle ordered her classmates to battle, which got Team Rocket scared. Due to this experience, Giselle promised not to pick on Joe.

Season 2: Adventures in the Orange Islands

Giselle appeared in the opening scene of Adventures in the Orange Islands season, but she did not appear in any of the episodes.

Manga

The Electric Tale of Pikachu

Giselle made a few appearances in The Electric Tale of Pikachu. She first appeared in Clefairy Tale, where she was shown traveling through Kanto and catching high-rank Pokémon. She is also seen attending a performance with Joe by Duplica and her Ditto in Pikachu's Excellent Adventure.

File:Giselle's Cubone.jpg		Cubone is the only one of Giselle's Pokémon that was actually shown. It is her loyal partner and her most powerful Pokémon. This Cubone seems to have the exact same personality as Giselle, strong and determined. It didn't even waste its time in attacking Ash's Pokémon, it just threw its bone at it. It's defeat came when Ash's Pokémon dodged the bone and it came straight back at Cubone, knocking it out.

While walking to the academy, the group noticed a picture in the boy's pocket. He takes it out and reveals that it's a picture of a [[File:200px-Giselle.jpg|thumb|left]]pretty girl. The boy explains that the girl's name is Giselle, and she's the most elite student at the academy. He also mentioned that Giselle picked on him a lot and called him weak. Misty asked why he carried around a picture of her if she was so mean, and the boy responded that even though she's mean, she's pretty to look at. Ash and Brock blushed and agreed, which just angered Misty because she knew they were getting all mushy just for a pretty girl. Misty then stormed to the academy, quickly followed by Ash, Brock, and the boy.

This enraged Misty and she challenged Giselle to a pokemon battle. Instead, Ash said that he would do it. She admitted that she wasn't as strong as she thought she was and that there were people stronger than her.
