Gilbert is the son of the mayor of Pallet Town and a minor character appearing in Pokémon Chronicles.
Biography
At first, he was a spoiled little boy who only wanted rare and strong Pokémon, like Raichu and Torchic because they were "special". He even mentioned that he wanted Ash's Pikachu, but as he looked for the escaped Bulbasaur with Ash Ketchum and friends, he realized that the bond between Trainer and Pokémon and eventually chose Bulbasaur as his Starter Pokémon.
