The Gameboy Advance is Nintendo's second hand-held game system released on June 11, 2001 in North America. The GBA has a 32-bit processor and featured backwards capabilities with the Gameboy Color. Other models included the Gameboy Advance SP, with a more portable, laptop design; the Gameboy Micro, which was smaller and also more portable; and the Gameboy Player, a attachment to the Gamecube that allowed Gameboy Color and Advance games to be played on the Gamecube.

The only Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game to be released on the Gameboy Advance was Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. Red Rescue Team was released along side with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team for the DS. Red Rscue Team was the last Gameboy Advance game to ever be released by Nintendo.
