Effect[]

In Battle[]

Frustration inflicts damage. The higher the friendship the user's Friendship is, the less damage Frustration deals.

Frustration's total damage (denoted by Ξ (capital xi)) is calculated by the following formula, based on the Pokémon's current friendship:

  • Ξ is the Frustration's damage.
  • h is the current happiness of a Pokémon.

The possible damage values that can be attained by Frustration is between Ξ = 1 (lowest damage) to Ξ = 102 (highest damage).

Trivia[]

  • Frustration inflicts damage. The higher the friendship the user's Friendship is, the less damage Frustration deals. This is the counterpart of the move Return, a move that inflicts more damage, the more the user loves it's trainer.
  • In Pokémon Black2/White2, Ghestis’s Hydregion knows frustration, a move which only gets stronger the less your Pokémon likes you. Appropriately, Hydregion’s affection value is zero making the move deal max damage. Ghestis’s Hydreigon is the only NPC Pokémon in a main series game to have a lower-than-base affection. This indicates how much hatred Hydreigon possesses against Ghetsis and that he could possibly be an abusive trainer.
