The Friend Ball (フレンドボール Friend Ball) is used to catch Pokémon as effective as a standard Poké Ball. However, Pokémon captured by this ball will bond more quickly to their trainers than with any other ball. This ball has a green top decorated with four red dots slanting toward the center button on both sides of the vertical mid-line on the top half and a gold dot near the "top" part of the ball's top half as seen from the front. In Pokemon Adventures Volume 8, Gold used a Friend Ball made by Kurt to catch a Teddiursa for Kurt's granddaughter.
