::::Thats would be a situation for this right, if they arn't ready to be a sysop, but they are ready to start improving the wiki even further than the rollback button, this would be for them. {{User:Technology Wizard/sig}} 18:19, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

::::{{User:Bullet Francisco/Talk|I strongly disagree to this idea, you might as well give them the sysop rights if your going to promote them to that position, my decision is final}}

Forums: Index Watercooler User Rights

Hello everyone. I have thought an improvement for the wiki that may benefit many users. Well as recently seen, many users would like to become sysops of the wiki. I believe that many users qualify for some of the rights that an admin has, but not all of them do since they have only had the experience with a rollback button and might not have the potential to be an admin, so I was thinking about a new user right for the wiki. The right would allow user to block other users from editing when needed, edit protected pages (without cascading protection), move files, move pages with their subpages, not be affected by rate limits, not create redirects from source pages when moving pages, and remove harmful edits from user blogs. The right would basically be a sysop without the actual sysop rights. There are many rights that are not included in this new idea that are already available to sysops. This right would be the next step after being a Rollback User and would be granted to users that have shown effort to improve the wiki. After spending time using these rights, then that is when they should be considered to become an admin. The name for the new right is to be announced soon. I want to know what the community thinks about this idea. Crimsonnavy will be deciding whether to interpret this into the wiki as he controls user rights. Don't be afraid to leave your opinion about this! User:Technology Wizard/sig 18:11, June 4, 2011 (UTC)

That is pretty much being a Sysop without the name Sysop. User:BassJapas/Signature 18:14, June 4, 2011 (UTC)
Well sysops have a lot more options than the ones mentioned here. I had sysop rights before and the rights mentioned here are just a portion of what they have. User:Technology Wizard/sig 18:16, June 4, 2011 (UTC)
