User Image Policy

Forum page
I discussed this briefly with Wattz2000, and we concluded that some users have more than three images and a lot of them aren't used any longer. What Wattz brought up, which I agree with, is to delete all the user images and start anew. Additionally, user images of users who have edited in the past week will be kept as we know they are active, this is only through the deletion bit. All users are welcome to reupload their images, as long as it falls under three. So yeah... I think it'd be pretty good. Jäzzi 14:03, April 7, 2012 (UTC)
- Sounds good. It would clean up a lot of the mess with user images, so I'm all for it. — ChaosVoid 02:24,4/8/2012
- Since our userbase has been a bit low, should I consider this enough to go through and clean out the userimages? Jäzzi 02:32, April 12, 2012 (UTC)

Proposing a New Policy
Edit
So, I think we need a new User Image Policy. To make it more clear as to how many images a user has an such. This would include a new naming form, a new section in the MediaWiki:Uploadtext saying what to include when you upload the image and how you should name it, and we'd license them. To Be Included
Edit
- A naming standard
- Possibly File:User Image (1/2/3) - USERNAME.extension
- Or needs to include the username somewhere, the number can be added in
- Licensing standard
- Upload text

Please add anything else you think should be included. Jazzi 00:24, April 13, 2012 (UTC)
Update
Edit
I'm going to add in this bit to the userimage policy and change the upload text to suit this. While I'd much prefer there to be a discussion before I do so, it appears bumping for a discussion won't happen. I'll leave this open till 3:00PM Eastern Standard Time for possible discussion. After 3:00PM EST, I will be going ahead with the changes. Jäzzi 13:20, April 28, 2012 (UTC)
