We need to figure out what items we want to keep in the pokébox, and which ones we want to add, as well as the ones we want to get rid of. Please look carefully at each pokébox. I just noticed the evolutionary line section on this thanks to Rain... this setup would cause a major mess for Pokemon like Eevee.

You see on the current template we have a section for the Evolutionary Line? Because I feel this is a good and important part of the Pokébox, I wouldn't support a template which doesn't have that. RainbowShifter 14:06, February 28, 2014 (UTC)

If anyone is interested, I've made my own version of the new template and added everything that was missing. I'll probably add in a few tweaks here and there, but this is most of it. If you need examples, I have two here. Lord of Shadows ^{Words mean nothing!} 01:03, April 18, 2014 (UTC)

I think there has been misunderstanding. The current one is kind of meh and has some unneeded fields and can be designed better.

Personally I quite like the current template. My only real criticisms would be that too much space is given to the cry and gender fields, and that the evolves from/to sections are kinda redundant as the evolutionary line already shows that info. Maybe the generation field is a bit pointless as well? It'd be nice to see base stats added somewhere- it would be neater to have them included rather than have separate sections in articles, particularly for Megas.

Specifically looking over your example, Shadowdemon137; as stated I'm not a big fan of the 'evolves by/from' fields, for the reason above plus there's too much redundant space, especially in Eevee's case. Perhaps the evolved by info could be incorporated into the evolutionary line field? There's also a lot of white space around the Pokémon images atm, and the abilities section could do with being smaller as well. I'm trying to picture what it'd be like if the main heading was shifted left (above the image) with something else (evo line? National dex previous/next?) on the top-right. I'd consider changing 'color' back to 'Pokédex color' too, otherwise people unfamiliar with the games will get the wrong idea and change a bunch of colours. Other than that, it's looking good.
