comment You should change the order of the parameters so RBY comes first and BW comes last. When a new generation would come, with the current parameter order, you should either create a new parameter at the end for the new generation (which would break the order of the games and make it confusing) or if you add the new move at the first parameter it would render existing code wrong. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 17:05, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

comment Also, a template is not really necessary. On the spanish Pokémon wiki we don't use a template for that, since it's a plain table. And there the RTE (visual editor) is disabled. Here the editor is enabled and people would benefit from filling the levels and stuff directly in the table instead of switching to source code. Just my 2 cents. --Ciencia Al Poder (talk) 17:05, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

comment Two interesting points. I generally live through the easy path with using templates, but I can see what your saying.

comment Much like Ciencia, I think that it should go from RBY first to BW last, since, as he said, we'd have to go through and change everything if another Generation comes out. &ndash; <span style="color:#B20046; font-weight:bold;">Jä</span><span style="color:#B20046; font-weight:bold;">zz</span><span style="color:#B20046; font-weight:bold;">i</span> 21:28, October 22, 2011 (UTC)

Forums: Index Administration New Moveset Template

Hey there! I'm here to inform that we are now using a new moveset template, which means the old ones will be removed. Anyways, the new moveset template will have:

 • The level the Pokémon learns the move in all main series games.
 • Move, type, category, and contest.

However, we'll be removing the move's damage, accuracy, and PP. I've already have finished working on Bulbasaur's moveset, which you can view right here. Tell me what you think in the discussion below!

Working on the Project

If you would like to work on adding the moveset to the pages, you can ask me for help on my talk page. Anyways, here's how you would use the templates:

Movesend

As always and stated before, ask me for help on my talk page!

For Movesmid, there are 11 parameters; the first four are move, type, category (physical, special, status), and contest. The last 7 are the level the Pokémon learns the move in said game and are as follows: Black/White, HeartGold/SoulSilver, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, FireRed/LeafGreen, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, Gold/Silver/Crystal, and Red/Blue/Yellow.

If there are empty parameters (the Pokémon did not learn this move in this game), leave the parameter blank. For example: Bulbasaur learns SolarBeam in FRLG, RSE, GSC, and RBY but not in BW, HGSS, and DPPt. You would do as follows:

 • Notice the three blank spaces between Cool and the first 46.

Anyways, the best way to work on these moveset is to go to Psypokes Pokédex, go to a Pokémon's page, and click the Level-Up Moves found on the navigation on the left. Afterwards, if the page does not display all the moveset per game, click the All button on the top right of the page.
