Background

Buckle your seat belts and clear your cache! What's that? Yup, there's a new background on the wiki. This background is to represent Pokémon Black and White and was made by our very own Crimsonnavy. Instead of the old background having a solid color and three different Pokémon, this background has a gradient from black to white and has Hilda and Hilbert in it. Are you seeing the old background? There's a simple fix to that and that is clearly your cache, if you need help with that, follow these instructions:

Firefox: Reload or Shift + Reload

Mozilla: click Reload (or Ctrl-R)

IE / Opera: Ctrl-F5

Safari: Cmd-R

Konqueror: Ctrl-R

Emotes

Additionally, Special:Chat now has Emotes. We're currently working to make emotes of all the Pokémon, but since there's quite a lot of Pokémon, it does take a while. To use these emotes, just type in (pokémonname) and the emote will come out as a sprite. To view the emotes, check out MediaWiki:Emoticons to see a list of all of them. Currently, we have emotes all the way up to Exploud, but there's still some way to go!

We've made a new forum, this forum is for updates by admins only. Regular users can comment on these forums, but they cannot create one. Do you want to learn about the hot happenings on Pokémon Wiki? This forum is the right place to go. How about learning how to converse with other users? This is the place for you! Just remember, only admins can make these updates, other users can only comment.

The updates by admins are in different forums. If you'd like to mention it, you can find a way to get more than a paragraph down, but other than that, you're going to have to make a different forum. – Jäzzi 23:02, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

Were this a blog he wouldn't be editing the blog to add it in. Although this is not a blog, it acts quite similar to it. I'm not having any discussion further, because if blogs were still enabled and still used and this forum were never made, it would most likely be in a comment. – Jäzzi 23:35, September 19, 2011 (UTC)

I am just saying that it clearly states "We've made a new forum, this forum is for updates by admins only. Regular users can comment on these forums, but they cannot create one." meaning that the admins can update it whenever, not just Crimson and Jazzi. Technology Wizard · talk

(reset indent) Excuse me for any confusion, but that meant the Administration forum as a whole, which is for updates by all admins, not this individual forum. If you'd like to make an update, by all means, make one. – Jäzzi 00:49, September 20, 2011 (UTC)
