Focus Blast (きあいだま Fighting Spirit Bullet) is a Fighting-type move introduced in Generation IV. It is one of nine elemental moves that do the same damage, 120 HP, consisting of Focus Blast, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, Gunk Shot, Blizzard, Zap Cannon, Power Whip, Hurricane and Megahorn. It also has a chance of lowering the opponent's Special Defense stat.
Effect
In Battle
The user heightens its mental focus and unleashes its power. It may also lower the target's Sp. Def.
Super Contests
Earn +2 if the Pokémon performs first in the turn.
Anime
In the anime, Ash's Scraggy knows this move in The Clubsplosion Begins! to Commanding the Clubsplosion Crown!, although it needs tons of practice to aim more accurate than he thought but in Caution: Icy Battle Conditions!, it really hit on Vanillish once but not on Cryogonal.
