Florinda Showers was the Character of the Day in IL068: Make Room For Gloom. She owns the Xanadu Nursery, after inheriting it from her still living parents. She takes care of the plants there, and gives them her utmost attention and care.

| [[File:|center|188x150px]] | Florinda Showers' Gloom lives at the Xanadu Nursery and first appeared when Brock thought he saw a beautiful women all Ash saw was Gloom. It later appeared when Ash's Bulbasaur sniffed "Stun Stem" making it paralyzed, Gloom had developed an immunity to the plant and helped Bulbasaur to the treatment room and in the end Bulbasaur recovers from a liquid in Gloom's flower and decide to play. It was revealed that its owner wanted to evolve it with a Leaf Stone but it did not work, Professor Oak appears saying the Leaf Stone was a fake.
Suddenly Team Rocket attack, using a powder from the Stun Stem to stop the group except from Florinda and Gloom. Gloom confronts Team Rocket as they send out Arbok and Weezing, Gloom can't see anything from the smoke Weezing caused and uses Double Team confusing them. It then finishes them off with a SolarBeam sending them blasting off. In the end it is shown Gloom and Bulbasaur have feelings for each over. It reappeared in a flashback in Bulbasaur... the Ambassador!. Gloom's known moves are Double Team and SolarBeam. | |
