Fling is a Dark-type move from Generation IV. Fling allows the player to throw their item at the foe.

Using this move will cause you to lose the item permanently, unless your in a Wi-Fi battle or the Battle Frontier. Throwing an Iron Ball is a good strategy, also in a wifi battle if you throw a Light Ball at the opponent the opponent gets paralyzed a good strategy for ground types.
