Clemontic Gear

Clemontic Gear (Japanese: シトロニックギア, Hepburn: Citronic Gear, Hepburn: Shitoronikku Gia) is a menagerie of devices invented and assembled by Clemont. They are typically employed whenever the gang or someone else encounters or has been suffering from a problem, though there are instances where he employs them in non-problematic situations for other reasons. Most of his inventions are stored inside of his Bag.

As a running gag, most of his devices end up exploding due to various causes (mostly because they go over their limit) which for the most part just leave the group with charred clothing and ruined hair, but on some instances the explosions either cause or play into an individual episode's plot, often involving the gang dealing with their aftermath, or, conversely, when they actually help to resolve the plot, though these cases are much rarer. The reason why half the time his devices tend to fail is because the majority of them are unpolished prototypes.

Each device is built and named by Clemont, though other characters such as Bonnie, Serena and Team Rocket have commented on how terrible they are. For context, Clemont's names for his inventions are usually overly long descriptions of their functions (Electricity-Has-No-Effect-On-Me-Atron, No-Need-for-Water-type-Pokémon-Food-Chinchou-Model-Magikarp-Magnet, etc.) though on occasion some names have been decent (Aipom Arm, Pokémon Power Meter, Flower Arranger One, Other Dimension Converter, Robo Step-by-Step, Search in a Second and Clemontic Thermograph. Note that plenty of these names are also just descriptions of what they do; they're just not overly long.)

	Air Bag	Usage: It is a standard invention stored inside his bag and is useful in order to protect people. Status: It is present in working condition.
	Aipom Arm	Usage: A useful invention attached at the back of his bag. It mainly act as a third arm for Clemont (just like a Aipom's tail acts as a third arm, and hence the name). This arm has considerable functionalities, like capable of unlocking security door access and is also quite powerful as its easily able to lift standard size boulders and has enough power to pull a person away. Status: It is present in working condition.
	Flying-type Pokémon Attracting Machine	Usage: The basic concept of this machine was to attract various kind of Bird Pokémon by stimulating the magnetic substance that control their homing instinct using sound waves of certain frequency to draw them closer or repel them away. Status: The machine failed to attract Bird Pokémon, but instead worked on the horde of wild Beedrill that where in the forest and attracted them instead. Thinking that the frequency created by the machine was wrong, Clemont tried to use the machine on a higher frequency in hopes of attracting Bird Pokémon, which caused the machine to exploded due to an overload.
	Electricity Generator	Usage: The concept of this machine is to utilize the Frictional Energy and transforming it into Electrical Energy, thus generating Static Electricity. Status: It was used to help Dedenne recover its strength but during its activation, Clemont accidentally broke its Control Lever and thus couldn't control the machine anymore which ended-up exploding because of a overload.
	Sticky Web Sticky Wicked Whacker Wonk	Usage: This machine breaks down the composition of Sticky Web on a DNA level and is able to perfectly reconstruct its stickiness, color, smell and nutrients and fire at its target. According to Clemont, he had applied for a "Patent Application" for this machine to relevant authorities. Status: This machine was created in order to help train Ash for his re-match against Viola, and it was really useful to Ash. But when Clemont decided to use it in Max Level, a misfire causes the mouth of the machine to clog up with the Sticky Web composition and with its outlet blocked, the machine ended up exploding.
	Clembot	Usage: To have it run Lumiose City Gym while he is away. Status: While it appears to be in working condition, it malfunctioned unexpectedly and became strict (as shown in the episode it's introduced).
	Pokémon Translator	Usage: The concept of this machine is to translate and communicate any Pokémon through their thoughts and body language. Status: Clemont made this machine to communicate with Ash's Goomy. Unfortunately, the machine did properly translate Goomy's language but Clemont started not to trust it and started knocking it and the machine exploded.
	Omnidirectional Super Sensitive Tracking Dish	Usage: The basic concept of this machine to detect and memorize a transmitter chip implanted in any living object. The machine can also pinpoint the exact location to where the chip is being held, even if it was moving. Status: Clemont made this machine to track down the Pokémon Smuggler, Dolan who was capturing and stealing Spewpa and Scatterbug to sell them for a high price. During the investigation, he used his Chespin as bait in attempt to catch him. However, the machine exploded.
	Exercise Gear	Usage:For his Chespin to excersise after overeating Serena's macarons. Status: Exploded.
	Radio Wave Amplification Device	Usage: To broadcast the waves to track Electric-types. Status: Overload
	Muscle Mass Magnifying Machine	Usage: Status:
	Bonnie-Out-of-Bed-o-Matic	Usage: To wake up a sleepy Snorlax. Status: Went out of control which resulted it to get exploded.
	Clemont Decoy Robot	Usage: The basic concept of this machine was to fool the enemy with a decoy version of the inventor. Status: Clemont used it to escape Princess Allie and return to the group. However, Allie was not impressed by this and whacked it with her fan, causing it to explode in her face.
	Automatic Pikachu Retrieval Device	Usage: To find Ash's Pikachu. Status: Worked for a while, then exploded. However, it operated again as it detected Pikachu's electricity, causing it to zoom into the observatory and ram into the evil Malamar's chest. The force of the explosion made Malamar break its control over everyone it hypnotized and inexplicably saved the day.
	Pokéstar Shooter	Usage: Shooting videos. Status: Destroyed.
	No-Need-for-Water-type-Pokémon-Food-Chinchou-Model-Magikarp-Magnet	Usage: To find a Shiny Magikarp. Status: It got destroyed when it attracted Sharpedo instead.
	This-Time-it-Will-Attract-Only-Magikarp-for-Certain-Lanturn-Model	Usage: A rework of the previous invention. Status: It did not attract any Magikarp, after Team Rocket appeared in their Magikarp Submarine it did not appear.
	No-Hard-Feelings-Fair-and-Square Lottery Device	Usage: To decide on a decision. Status: Success.
	Precisely-Even-Cut-o-Matic	Usage: To cut a little cake evenly. Status: No problem.
	Mechanical Absorber of Any Pokémon's Move	Usage: Absorbing any Pokémon's attack. Status: Exploded after it worked.
	Electricity-Has-No-Effect-On-Me-Atron	Usage: Absorbing Electric-type attacks. Status: Worked for a while, then got exploded.
	Pokémon Transport Machine	Usage: To transport Pokémon to another location. Status: Worked, but wasn't seen.

	Fully Automatic Lifting Machine	Usage: The concept of this machine is to grab objects without even touching them. Status: Clemont used it to grab the Prison Bottle when he was told that whenever someone touches it, he or she will become possessed by its dark power.
	Snow Flower Finder	Usage: It was used to track the location of the snow flower. Status: It is present in working condition.
	Weather Predictor	Usage: This machine is used to predict the weather. Status: This invention did not work as intended, and exploded.
	Rock Searcher Mark 1	Usage: Dig up rocks. Status: Team Rocket made it explode by making it fall in the lava pit in Mt. Molteau.
	Running Generator	Usage: This invention was used to get the train moving. Status: Working condition.
	Living Thing Finder Mark II	Usage: To look for the shy Eevee Serena was mentioning about. Status: It didn't work and later exploded because of overloading.
	The Amazing Alarm Clock	Usage: This invention was used to wake up the heroes and the Pokémon when it became morning. This also woke up Pikachu, Meowth, and Squishy from their bad dream. Status: After waking up Pikachu, Meowth, and Squishy, the Amazing Alarm Clock exploded.
	Track Down Squishy For Certain, Mark 1	Usage: It was used to track down Squishy after it got separated from the group in the Terminus Cave. Status: Worked at first, went out of control, then exploded.
	Aroma Detector	Usage: To track down Floette and Breloom. Status: Exploded.
	Squishy Massage Machine-kun No. 1	Usage: It was used to give Squishy a massage in the Poké TV segment's Pokémon Unbelievable program featuring Squishy. Status: The invention ended up overloading and exploded.

	Wonderful Serena Poké Puff Maker Mark 1	Usage: It was a machine with Serena's face on it that would be intended to make Poké Puffs when Clemont put in the ingredients, showcased in the Poké TV segment "Pokémon 24 Hours!" from A Gaggle of Gadget Greatness!. Status: It didn't work out at all, and the machine exploded in front of the whole area.
