Scatterbug (Japanese: コフキムシ, Hepburn: Kofukimushi) (SCAT-ter-BUG[1]) is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI.

Scatterbug is a small, worm-like Pokémon. Its skin is black, except around its neck. It does not grow in size when evolved into a Spewpa. It has strong resemblance to Caterpie by body style.

Scatterbug evolves first into Spewpa at level 9 and then into Vivillon at level 12.

- Scatterbug is the first Pokémon with a cocoon evolution not to increase in size when it evolves.
- There are minor enemy creatures in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes known as Scatterbugs, though these predate the Pokémon, and the Pokémon itself likely wasn't named after these enemies.
